Prescription drug addicition is one of the country's fastest growing social problems. One of the biggest contributors to the rise in prescription drug addcition is the mass advertising promoting various prescription drugs on the internet. It is not uncommon to receive multiple spam emails promoting various pharmaceutical drugs. Valium, Xanex, Oxicodone and other benzodiazipins or opiates are beng mass marketed in the internet venue today. It is also not uncommon to find a pop up ad on your computer urging you to fill out a medical form which asks you to discribe whatever aches, pains or ailments you may wish to remedy. It is speculated that when one of these forms are filled out they are fired back to some doctor in a starving third world country who has some direct connection to a drug company who will then prescribe a drug "sight-unseen" which you can purchse with your credit card and in a short period of time have that prescriptuion show up at your home or busioness in the mail. There is of course a ficticious return address that cannot be traced. Anyone who wants drugs and is on the internet has the brain power to manufacture the right ailment that will get them their drug of choice. Internet drug addicts are ususally middle to upper middle class working people, students or housewives. They are not your stereo-typical "drug addict in the street." While Internet Drug Addicts do not run the risk of taking impure or bad drugs because they are pure pharmaceutical drugs the physical withdrawal from these pure drugs because of thier potentcy can be life threatening. One can also overdose more easily because of the strength of these drugs. Beware!
